Day 4 - Mrs R's group afternoon activities - abseiling and climbing and then all evening activities

In the afternoon we went to the abseil tree first followed by the climbing wall.
Everyone got kitted up with a harness and helmet and off we went. Most of us were feeling a bit scared but determined to give it a go. While we were waiting there were a variety of new names created for us such as Tinkerbell ( to a pupil who is so not Tinkerbell), Mossy Twig, Hopper, Honeyboo and Crown Jewels......
We decided on an order to climb and watched a demonstration of how to clip on the caribena to the harness etc.
Here we are in action!

The first one heads on up!

 The entertainment....
 On the way back down!

 Up we go!
 It really is quite high!

The Climbing Club expert en route!

 This was a speedy one...

 And another...

 Even Mrs R!

 Ryan heads on.

We even spotted a peedie deer when we were waiting.

And then off to the climbing wall which seemed easy after the tree....Well bits of it anyway!

 Traversing.

 Press ups!

After our swim session we had our last tea at the Abernethy Centre. This time it was pizza, salad and chips followed by chocolate cheesecake. This went down well with almost everybody!
There was some free time then before the 'Explore' session in the theatre. Mr Dearness acted the part of a rooster very well. Gemma became a fisher woman!
Everyone then got ready for the wide game with all the staff hiding in various locations around the grounds. Mrs Rendall and Mrs Drever found a really good hiding place and only three pupil groups found us! After that there was a camp fire with sausages in rolls and juice for supper. Some folk even played some football in the dark.
